Building a Better Colorado Together

I’m Christian Schilder, and I’m running to be YOUR voice at the Colorado Statehouse.

I share values and sensibilities with my constituents who live in unincorporated Douglas County. I grew up in a town with a single stop sign in unincorporated Shelby County, right on the border of Texas and Louisiana.

I also understand the growing pains our cities and our state are experiencing. After graduating from Texas A&M, I moved to Lone Tree to pursue my career as a Civil Engineer. I've designed water infrastructure, the roads you drive on, and the taxiways at DIA that get your plane safely from gate to runway.

At a time in my life when I should be getting married, buying a home, and starting a family, I’m running to be your state representative.  Why? Because despite having a good education and a full time job, I can’t afford to buy a home and start a family in the community where I work.

I advocate for infrastructure funding at the federal level in D.C. every year, and I want to see a change. I'll work to make Colorado more affordable for:

  • People like me who want to put down roots here.

  • DCSD graduates  who want to buy starter homes in the communities where they grew up.

  • Families who need homes, health insurance, and time together to explore every corner of our great state.

  • Our wiser citizens who have worked hard all their lives and want to stay in their homes, even on a fixed income

Let's Talk

Over the past few months, I’ve shown up to county commissioner and city council meetings. I’ve met with residents and leaders across Lone Tree, Castle Pines, Sterling Ranch, Roxborough, Franktown, and Larkspur.

One thing that has stuck with me in almost every conversation is this.

People don’t want politicians.

They want honest individuals who will show up, look at the data, and take responsibility. That’s the standard I’m holding myself to. I’ll always be direct about what I believe, and I’ll always be willing to listen, even when we disagree.

I'm building a serious, people-first campaign focused on real solutions and grounded in data and real world experiences, not political ideologies.
